Object: Gallery & 3D models
"Gallery" and "3D Models" tabs are used to add some data to visualize the archaeological object.
Adding photos and images
From the "Gallery" section, click "Add Data" and select the files you want to add from your Drive folder.
You can only add your own data to your object. Also you can add your data to the object shared with you with editor perission as well. Though if you do this, it will automatically mean transferring data ownership to the owner of the object. Only data type "photos and images" can be added to the Gallery.
Once the images are added to the "Gallery" owner and the editors of the object will be able to:
- download one or all of them to their local storage
- add more data
- view all added images
- remove from the object (this will not delete the data itself from the Drive though)
- select object cover picture
In the future you will be able to change the cover from the Gallery tab or from the Details tab. Only images previously added to Gallery from your Drive are abailable to choose from.
User with view only permission will not be able to perform any other action other than viewing all photos through the details of the object.
Adding 3D models
From the 3D model section, click "Add data" and select from your Drive 3D meshes or point clouds you want to add. As with photos, you can only select your own data that has been previously uploaded to Drive. Again, you can add your models to objects that you have been given access to as an editor, but this would transfer the data ownership to the owner of the object.
All users who have access to the object will be able to render Object's 3D meshes and point clouds via 3D viewer.
Owner and editors of the object will also be able to download, remove them from the object or add extra models to the tab.
